Event Seeding

How it works

  • SA Seeding will batch riders for the 2018 FNB Wines2Whales MTB Events
  • There are over 150 MTB races that you can participate in to improve your seeding; listed on https://saseeding.com/events-used/
  • Batching will be done using your SAS Index.
  • A top rider will have an index of e.g. 0.18, whilst the slowest or unseeded rider will have an index of 100.
  • As W2W is a team event, each team will be batched according to the team member with the lowest index.
  • If you have any questions, please contact Alicia at info@saseeding.co.za

How to improve your seeding?

  1. Participate in tougher, longer and bigger events – these type of events will better your seeding;
  2. Participate frequently – the more frequent, the better your seeding (the older your results the less it influences your seeding);
  3. Your best of three races in 24 months will count towards your seeding, if you participate with a slower rider in other events, it will not affect your seeding.
